Linocut steamroller printing
June 6, 2016
Steamroller printing is something I have done a few times but it never gets boring. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you’ll have seen the photos of the Big Steam Print event in Brighton which I was invited to take part in recently. For this event I made my biggest linocut to date, of a whale, measuring 6ft x 3ft. If you haven’t seen the photos, below are a few highlights.
The Big Steam Print event was organised by Ditchling Museum and I would like to thank Lucy Jenner for organising it, along with Pea from Lucky Budgie and a helpful team of volunteers. I had a great time and met lots of other linocut artists, including Jonny Hannah and Ann Lewis. The prints will be exhibited at Phoenix Gallery in Brighton in August and I’ll be running a linocut workshop at Ditchling Museum on 27th August.
