Exhibition of linocuts at Rye Art Gallery

I am in an exhibition of linocuts at Rye Art Gallery together with Richard Bawden and Paddy Hamilton. The exhibition runs until 30th June alongside an exhibition of the stunning etchings of Norman Ackroyd. I have six prints in the show, including my brand new Smoking Seagull.

Rye Art Gallery also has a nice collection of linocuts. When I visited they were displaying a Claude Flight linocut called Salmon Leap and another print by Margaret Barnard, together with the preparatory drawing she made for it. They also had one of Edward Burra’s costume designs.

While you’re in Rye, make sure you also check out the amazing Grammar School Records.
